Nebest B.V., commissioned by the municipality of Steenbergen, prepared the technical details for the works related to the ‘replacement piling’ Havenweg at Dinteloord. At the beginning of September 2017 the construction company Van der Lee from Bruchem started the works along the trajectory in the harbour of Dinteloord.
This project refers to the replacement of approx. 1.3 kilometre bank protection. The existing wood piling was replaced by a Prolock Omega plastic dam wall with steel piles. This innovative hybrid Prolock system is a sustainable and environmentally friendly alternative for traditional dam walls and pilings.
Prolock offers a bespoke solution for each situation. Steel piles with a length of 5.30 and 7.30 m1 have been used. The total is finished with a matching plastic cover and an Azobé purlin. The project was successfully completed and all parties involved were pleased with the results.
